Welcome to my website which I am proud to say that I’ve created myself despite having avoided doing it for years! I have now been predominately a stone carver for 28 years although I enjoy using other materials from time to time such as wood, clay and recycled plastics.
I mainly work in reclaimed stone mostly from the UK. Each sculpture is developed sympathetically to the uniqueness of that stone which often comes to me either in its natural shape or as an off cut from someone’s larger project. This is helpful as it can lead me towards a conversation with that particular stone. More recently I have tended to work more with the human figure and sometimes included animals in my pieces in relation to people but when you go to the gallery page you will see some older pieces that are more abstract these were inspired by the natural world.
The sculptures are often emotive and can resonate powerfully with the viewer; this is slow art developed over weeks or sometime months with heart and soul.
